HSA Guidance on Manual Handling Training
At ’ACE’ we believe in the value of classroom tuition and practical demonstrations as recommended by the Health & Safety Authority in their guidance document on Manual Handling Training.
We believe that instead of employees participating in an online course followed by a short assessment by a manual handling instructor, that the time given to each individual in the classroom setting, with appropriate time given to practical demonstrations and overseeing employees practicing using the correct lifting techniques prior to assessment, is of great benefit in reducing the likelihood of manual handling injuries.
The content of the ’ACE’  Manual Handling training programme delivered by our QQI (FETAC) Level 6 Instructors meet with the requirement of the HSA guidance on the Manual Handling Training System.
